About Breeding Dep.

UMEDA KOI FARM

We have been run UMEDA Fish Farm for three generations, for more than 100years.
The water quality is important when keeping Nishikigoi.
Our farm is in Nishiebara, Ibara,Okayama and the water quality is good there.
We mainly breed Kohaku hoping to offer powerful ones in good health to Nishikigoi lovers who will keep them for a long time.
However, breeding just a kind of Nishikigoi hinders us from enjoying it from every angle. Meeting the needs, we also try to breed other kinds of Nishikigoi.
As for Showa Sanshoku, unique ones have been selected in particular. Kujaku, Koromo and Goshiki have been as beautiful as everyone says, “They are beautiful.”
